Jess Parrish Medical Foundation Exceeds Fundraising Goal at Dancing in the Moonlight Gala

TITUSVILLE, FLA. (November 8, 2024)Jess Parrish Medical Foundation’s (JPMF) annual benefit gala Dancing in the Moonlight was a tremendous success, raising more than $125,000 in net proceeds to benefit the advancement of innovative healthcare technologies and services in support of the healing mission of Parrish Healthcare. Presented by the law firm of Zumpano Patricios, the event was held October 5, at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Apollo/Saturn V Center.

More than 300 guests dined and danced amidst the iconic Saturn V rocket to music from the sixties and seventies along with a special selection of tunes from the Apollo 11 moon landing mix tape. Throughout the evening, guests relived the first crewed Saturn V mission into space and experienced the Apollo era through interactive exhibits and artifacts.

Parrish Medical Center’s Medical Director of Total Joint Replacement, Matthew Musto, DO, the event’s keynote speaker, shared updates on the newest innovations at Parrish Medical Center. Musto highlighted VELYS, a robotic-assisted surgical system that utilizes technology to aid knee replacement procedures that are tailored to each patient. Dr. Musto presented guests with a live VELYS demonstration and then provided all the opportunity to try the robotic system through a hands-on experience.

Judy Allender, Winnie Brewer, Kelley Broome, Mary Coleman, Jessie Kirk and Rachel Terry were co-chairs for the event. The winner of the $1,000 chance drawing was Linda Almeida.
