Parrish Healthcare Reaches Milestone of 10,000 Vaccinations Administered At the Parrish Health & Fitness Center Vaccination Site

TITUSVILLE, FL. (May 17, 2021) – On Thursday, May 13, 2021 Parrish Healthcare care partners administered the 10,000^th COVID-19 vaccination at the Parrish Health & Fitness Center vaccination site.

Parrish Healthcare began vaccinating the north Brevard community on February 10, 2021. Since then, care partners have administered both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccine and successfully vaccinated over 5,120 north Brevard residents.

“I am privileged to be a part of this vaccination clinic. We are making a difference in each and every person’s life; each vaccination getting us one step closer to a new sense of normal. In the Emergency Department we typically see people in the worst moments of their lives and it has been healing to see and help members of our north Brevard community.” said Lead Paramedic Leigh Spradling of Parrish Medical Center.

Since the Health & Fitness Center vaccination site opened in early February of 2021, Parrish Healthcare care partners have received an immense amount of support and appreciation from the surrounding community.

“The opportunity to provide COVID-19 vaccine to the community is such an honor. Many care partners who care for our community members now have the opportunity to give vaccine to a very grateful community. We cannot count the number of times we have been told ‘Thank you for all that you do’” said Edwin Loftin, Senior Vice President of Integrated and Acute Care and Chief Nursing Officer.
