5 Steps to Prepare for Telehealth Visits
- Posted On:
To protect our patients and their families during COVID-19, Parrish Medical Group expanded telehealth services. Through telehealth and virtual appointments, patients can access the care they need without leaving their homes with no out-of-pocket costs.
- Set-up Your Technology: Ensure your webcam and speakers are turned on, practice a trial run with a family member through your smartphone, computer or tablet.
- Create a List of Notes & Questions: Include all current medications, any changes in diet, sleep or energy levels, along with health questions and concerns for the nurse or doctor.
- Gather Medical Supplies (if applicable): Thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter may be necessary if you use any of these supplies. If you have a scale at home, weigh yourself before your appointment. Our staff appreciates your ability to provide vital health statistics.
- Relocate to a comfortable, quiet space in your home: Have a notepad and pen on-hand let family members know your appointment will require privacy.
- Take a Few Moments to Prepare: We understand these are unusual circumstances. Our staff is prepared to help you through your appointment. Take notes, ask follow-up questions and implement the doctor’s recommendations.
