PMC Hosts Brevard County Chaplains Day

Parrish Medical Center (PMC) will host Brevard County Chaplain’s Day workshop on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. The workshop is free, including course materials, continental breakfast, lunch and door prizes.
Chaplains serving in any capacity—law enforcement, fire, crisis response teams, military, port, jail/prisons, hospitals, hospices, nursing homes, assisted living sites and schools—are invited to attend.
“The workshop, Complicated Issues—Complementary Ministries, offers great variety this year,” said Rev. Jerald Smith, Director of Pastoral Care at Parrish Medical Center. Workshop topics include: Chaplaincy in the Marketplace, Sibling Grief, A Continuum of Healing, First Responder Chaplaincy, Culturally Literate Chaplaincy and Chaplaincy in the Digital Age. “The goal of the workshop is to provide chaplains with information and education to improve their overall skillset for better service to the community,” continued Smith.
