World's Greatest Baby Shower Is Coming to Titusville

The World's Greatest Baby Shower will be held Saturday, May 5 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Searstown Mall, 3550 South Washington Ave., Titusville. The FREE event will reassure new and expectant parents about their role as mom and dad with the help of experts in a variety of infant and child-related fields.
The annual FREE event will have over 40 exhibitors plus seminars, comfortable air conditioning, and hundreds of dollars worth of door prizes for participants, as well as convenient parking. 6 Seminars will include:
- Financing for Newborns: Michael S. Gutter, PhD., holds a degree in family resource management. This seminar will offer tools to help parents face today’s economic financial challenges with raising a baby. Gutter is assistant professor in Family Youth and Community Science at the University of Florida.
- Kimberly Severson, assistant director of B.E.T.A. of Titusville, Inc., will share knowledge from her varied fields of expertise. She is certified as a "H.U.G. Your Baby" instructor, child passenger safety technician, lactation counselor, labor doula, childbirth educator and teen educator.
- Car Seat Installation: Expert Gayle Whitworth, a certified child safety instructor, will share safety issues involved with car seats, including proper installation, how to check that your baby's car seat is properly installed, and where to take classes on infant car seat safety. Whitworth has been with the University of Florida Brevard County Extension service for 16 years.
- The “Ask A Doc” panel will give parents the opportunity to meet North Brevard medical experts and gather a wealth of information about prenatal, delivery and infant care. - Nurse Practitioner Andrea Williams will represent the practice of OB/Gyn Sherri Fair Caplan, DO. - Gregory Gullikson, DMD, has practiced dentistry in Titusville since 1990, and has volunteered his time at The Children’s Center teaching children how to care for their teeth. - Pediatrician Erica O'Bryan, M.D., of Parrish Pediatrics, will share her expertise in infant development. - Eileen LoPresti, Parrish Medical Center certified lactation consultant, has been supporting breastfeeding and helping new moms for more than 15 years. · Taking Baby Pictures: Learn some best practices for new moms and dads taking portraits on their own or in the portrait studio environment. Led by Marci Myler, Sears Portrait Studio district manager (seminar will be nonbiased; no business solicitation will be involved).
