New VP of Ambulatory Care

Parrish Medical Center welcomes Kenneth Jones, MHA, MBA, as the new vice president of Ambulatory Care. Jones oversees perioperative services, including the operating room wing (which includes pre- and post-op), and special procedures area. He will also be responsible for planning, organizing and directing PMC’s ambulatory care centers and strategy, provides operational oversight and patient care coordination in preparation for healthcare reform.

Jones received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Fla., and his Master of Healthcare Administration / Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management in Minneapolis, Minn.

Jones most recent position was with St. Vincent’s Healthcare, Jacksonville, Fla., as director of neuroscience, orthopedics, and surgical services, as well as interim CEO (under a management contract through St. Vincent’s Healthcare) of Charlton Memorial Hospital, Folkston, Ga. Prior to that he was the administrator for the Duke University Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center in Durham, N.C.

Jones has also earned Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. He is married and has one son.
