The Jess Parrish Medical Foundation awarded The Children’s Center a $7,500 grant, designated for the center’s Scholarship Program. As the community begins to feel the affects of the job losses at Kennedy Space Center, more families need financial assistance to keep their children enrolled in the high quality care, education and therapeutic programs and services offered at The Children’s Center.
“The scholarship from The Children’s Center has supported me in a very profound way, “ said the single father of three young children. “Without the scholarship we would have been emotionally stranded during a time when we simply could not afford to be. The scholarship made it possible for me, as a single father, to give my children the best possible care at a time when they most needed it. My gratitude for this is beyond belief.”
The Center scholarship gave these children a sense of stability in a nurturing environment during a very difficult time after their mother lost her long battle with breast cancer.
The Children's Center, an affiliate of Parrish Medical Center, offers a variety of learning and early development programs for area children. Located at 5650 South U.S. 1 in Titusville, The Children’s Center consists of six local partner agencies working together to meet the needs of children. The Center annually serves nearly 2,500 children and their families. Visit The Children's Center online at parrishchildrenscenter.com. # # #
